Tip of the Week 05-03-96
Fellowship
As an independent Baptist I have found a great deal of encouragement in
the monthly Fellowship meetings held by fundamental Baptist pastors. I
can participate in one or more of a couple in New England. The service
usually includes good preaching on relevant issues, lunch, and a
business meeting. The business meeting is a time of discussion and
testimony from various pastors and church planters. Often, I used to
make excuses why I could not go, and my full-time job afforded me a good
one. However, when I did go, I was spiritually refreshed and encouraged
by many of the men at the meeting. Recently, I hve taken my wife, and
we have made it a time of rest and fellowship. My advice to all church
planters is to become actively involved in a fellowship of preachers.
